Hello,
Yes it does have a twain driver. And I am suspecting the Scanner as the problem.
I might try another scanner, perhaps.
BTW, I did find a temporary solution.
I scan from the CanoScan Toolbox Application porting the results to a PDF file. Then O pen the file in Readiris and save it as an RTF. Then read it with Textedit or what ever else I want to use. Because I have the Auto Orientation switched on and Descue on, it makes for always being able to read the pages in proper and correct orientation. But I have another scanner that I might try.

This is strange because I am able to use readiris 11 with an HP all in one scanner and scan from the read iris program with no hitches. All works well. Must be a canoscan problem Does it have a twain driver for the canoscan? The read iris 11 uses twain., Vickie Weir

Hello list,
I just installed a Canoscan Lide60 and Read Iris Pro 11.
The problem I'm having is this.
When I tell Iris to get a document, the Canoscan ScanGear window comes up and everything stalls out at this point. I am not able to do anything else. However, with Readiris closed, I can scan documents from the CanoScan Toolbox application by using the buttons on the front of the scanner and they are presented in .pdf. So, what this all boils down to is that I want it to work with Readiris Pro without scangeer getting in the way.
Any suggestions from those of you who have it working?
Thanks,
Dan
