It should be noted that Ghostreader will work just fine with any SpeechManager voice so you can use the Macs built in Voices, those from Cepstral, VisioVoice or whoever.

Hi Dennis and Anne,

For text to mp3 files Assistiveware has started selling a
product called ConvenienceWare GhostReader:

http://www.convenienceware.com/ghostreader.php

This uses the great-sounding voices of VisioVoice, and
is VoiceOver friendly. Like VisioVoice, you
can buy language packages that do text-to-speech in
a wide variety of languages. It's cheaper than
VisioVoice because the voices are used for document
reading and text-to-speech, but not for the full
integrated support of VoiceOver. You have the
same control options for skipping sentences or
paragraphs (or jumping back to read sentences)
that VisioVoice gives. You can also switch voices
midway. And you can convert text files to audio
files or iTunes tracks.

Cheers,

Esther

Hello,

I use VisioVoice from:

It's also a nice little reader and comes with great-sounding voices.
Not cheap, though.
