James,
To delete a Smart Mailbox:
1. Highlight the Smart mailbox in the Mailboxes list.
2. Choose the Delete menu item in the Mailboxes menu.
3. A dialog should appear that asks "are you sure?" Click Yes.

That's all there is to it.

Hi folks,

It looks like I have finally sorted out the mail difficulties. Jim was indeed right I had created a smart mailbox. I had to delete it manually using finder but is there another way to delete themm? I tried looking for them using spotlight but they never showed up.

Anyone got any ideas on how this could be done in the future if it occures again?

All the best

Hello James:

As a suggestion, while you are in the messages table, VO-right until you hear new mailbox. Not sure but it sounds you created a smart mailbox.

Make sure when you create new mailbox by defualt it should be on my Mac.
Then you should see the mailbox in the list.

Hope this works for you.

Subject: Using rules to filter messages

Hi folks,

I am curious if anyone knows what I might be doing wrong here. I am
wanting to set up mail rules so that all my messages go into
different folders. I went into the mailboxes menu, created the folder
I wanted and attempted to crate the rule to move the messages. The
trouble is that the folder I crated isn't listed in the options for
moving the messages.

Anyone got any ideas?

All the best

-James-
