Would you mind elaborating on your statement that one pays in other ways by using Orca? I've been considering adding Ubuntu to my IMac at work because it apparently includes an accessible spreadsheet, so it would be good to get a heads-up on any problems that I am likely to encounter.

It does not work with VoiceOver. Firefox uses its own GUI system.
