I tried that but all I get is an alert beep. The group names seem to
have been downloaded fine but the article headers aren't there. Any
idea on what I should do next? I apollogise for this.

I've managed to enter the server details using my free BT Internet
account. all has gone great and I was able to download the list of
newsnet groups. Trouble is, now that I have subscribed to them,
how do I bring up the list of threads/messages? I have the usual
on my mac folder, under that is outbox, drafts, sent, then my BT
internet folder with the groups in.
Now, the trouble is that I can here the current group name, but I
can't expand the tree. Well I asume it must be a tree or a table.
any help appreciated.
