Yes, you can convert to MP3 after you've edited, I believe I
covered this in detail in my original post.
Now a suggestion to ensure you don't delete messages by accident
you may wish to refer to later, I have a system here which I find
very useful and perhaps you may wish to consider it. Firstly, I
have my trash set up so that messages older than 1 day are
automatically deleted, to do this you need to go into the "mailbox
behavior" tab of every mail account you have and set the
"automatically delete trash" option for each account to 1 day, you
may like to set this to one week but as I get allot of email here I
find that one day is sufficient.
Next create a mail box for each and every person or mailing list
you deem important, for instance create a Mac-Discuss mailbox for
this list. Now create a rule which will filter all messages from
this list and set the rule to "copy" messages from this list to the
Mac-discuss mailbox, that way not only will you see messages from
this list in your in box but you'll also have a backup copy in your
Mac-Discuss mailbox which you can refer to later, search through
with spotlight etc, you could say that over time you'll have a mini
Mac-Discuss archive at your fingertips <smile>
If people would like me to go into more details about Mails rules
function then sure, I'll do that in another message, the rules may
look complex but they're not, just a matter of taking a few minutes
to work out exactly what you want Mail to do with your messages,
where you want them etc.
