Interesting, now you would need to enter your administrator password to actually copy it there. I should prompt you. Acutally if your not loged in as an admin, you need to then enter your admin id and password. It should however work, I've copied and deleted stuff from the system Library folder in the past.

Thanks, I tried and things went well until I tried pasting into the / Library/Widgets folder. Paste was grayed out. To confirm I actually had something to copy, I checked the contents of the clipboard and the widget showed up on that clipboard.

You will put the widget in the /Library/Widget folder. I don't have a folder in my user home folder so, not sure if you can create one there and have the os pick that up. I need to play with the widgets more I guess. Didn't find them all that interesting. grin

Okay, when I was on the dashboard the weather widget got selected and when I did that VoiceOver said bring widget to front. The new widget isn't yet available to select on the dashboard so far as I know. If I can copy it to the dashboard or somehow alias it that might work. It was downloaded tonight and the zip file was opened up so I have the zip file and the widget sitting on my desktop now.
