Hello everyone,

I've never had this problem with the Option key as I always launch applications with either Command-o or from the Dock by pressing Return. I love keyboard shortcuts and very rarely use menus.

Cheers,

Anne

Hi Darcy,

Launching apps like iTunes and Audio Hijack from the dock with the
enter key sounds like a good way to get around the bug of having
VO keys (control+OPTION) interpreted as invoking the option key
press on startup -- with the queries for iTunes library or debug
options. Good one!

The programs from Rogue Amoeba have this issue, at least Audio Hijack
pro and Nice cast do this. When starting with the option key pressed,
you're asked if you want to enable various debug options.
Often what I do with programs that have trouble launching when the VO
keys are pressed, is to start them from the dock. On the dock, you
can launch programs with the enter key.
