iStream should have asked you where you wanted the folders created. You should have then directed it to the top level of the VRStream. Did it not do this?

Hi:

I did the following:

1. Downloaded your latest version of iStream.
2. Set up the stream; inserted battery, insured it worked, read some of the documentation, Etc. 3. Turned off the stream, connected USB cable and then turned it on again.
4. Turned stream on and it said it was connected.
5. Opened iStream and clicked the create folders button after waiting a minute or so. While waiting, a progress bar of sorts showed at the bottom of the application but it wasn't moving.
5. Repeated process again after nothing happened.
6. On both instances, a window opened for the folder entitled "not named" but nothing else happened. 7. After no folders were created...does it create these when I click the button, I gave up and just copied the folders from the CD and all works.

Larry;

When you say no luck what did you try and do with iStream?

Yes, you can read it with the reader. Just do the following:

1. Insert the CD.
2. Find the folder called istream tutorials.
3. Open that folder and you see several called music, books, notes, Etc.
4. Just do a select all, copy and then go back to the desktop.
5. Insure your stream is connected to the Mac (have it turned off, connect USB cable to both the stream and computer, then turn on the stream.)
6. You'll hear the stream say its connected when you turn it on.
7. It will show as "not named." Open that folder.
8. Insure your focus is on the new folder called "not named" and paste in what you've put on the clipboard.
8. Now you can start downloading stuff to the stream.

I tried Greg's iStream application with no luck; maybe I was doing something wrong?

Hope this helps.

BTW, the manual is on the stream.

Stupid question but can't you read it with the reader? If you can't then that's pretty bad I reckon.

Just got my Victor reader stream. Neat little machine. However, the CD with the manual etc is in daisy format. How to read it with a mac? Greg Kearney, any ideas? I understand that the mac computer daisy reader is on again? or is there some other way? Vickie Weir
