Hello VaShaun,
As far as i am aware, at present Voice Over does not have this
feature, but perhaps it is something that it will have in Leopard?
Best Wishes

Actually I am coming from JAWS and when typing I can hear the
characters as I type a word and once I hit the space bar it
pronounces the word. I wondered if VO has the same feature.

Hello,
I think what you are referring to is the Typing Echo which offers
characters, words or nothing. When it comes to reading, you can
read a whole document, paragraph by paragraph, sentence by
sentence, line by line, word by word or character by character.
All the information is in the VO documentation.
Cheers,
Anne

I looked around the verbosity options in VO and saw the read by
character and the read by word, but no choice for both. I like
to have my screen reader to read both. Is their anyway to make
this happen?
