Writing in Spanish

I am working on a Christmas present for an old friend--my high school  
Spanish teacher, in fact.  I am trying to figure out how to write  
with the Spanish accents in TextEdit and I can't seem to find the  
help.  I knew how, once.  Can someone send me a list of the letters  
and how to write them?  I'll just use the English keyboard layout,  
and type the extra keys to get the Spanish letters done correctly-- 
easier than memorizing another keyboard layout--for now!

In case you are wondering, I took some Spanish podcasts and have  
burtned them to audio CD for her.  She does not have her own  
computer, that I know of, so I thought this would be nice for her.
