Thank you, because I know what I am looking for I can learn the navigation of the item. I noticed that the pop-up item says what is currently selected for that choice, so now I have a better understanding. ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Austin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "General discussions on all topics relating to the use of Mac OS X by theblind" <[email protected]>

Hi

To turn off the attribute option. Do the following:

1. VO keys (FN with laptop keyboards) + F8 to open the "Voice Over Utility" 2. In the "Verbosity" tab navigate to the "When typing attributes change" pop-up menu.

There should be an option called nothing.

Hope this helps

Listers when I start typing in text for a edit field my computer says something like elegrande and says the point size. I would imagine that it is referencing the style and size of the typed font. I want to do one of two things, either change the font to one that I am familiar with or turn this feature off. This would (in my opinion) be helpful in a text editor but not in edit fields. Is their any way to activate this in Text Edit but nowhere else?

hi how due you save a file in test edit
