Yeah I see the stuff eventually landing on the desktop and I Toones will play it after I get the player signed in. I just cant find the HD and the book shows up sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. The download window in Safari did not have any status of a download even when interacting with the control. It said blank, so I don't really know how the Mac responds to certain controls or commands to trouble shoot my problem. If it was Windows I would know what to do all be it troublesome. I am sure that I just am inexperienced rather than the Mac being broken. ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Austin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "General discussions on all topics relating to the use of Mac OS X by theblind" <[email protected]>

Hi,

I believe Safari's default location for saving downloads, is the Desktop. However, if you are getting books from Audible, then you'll have to download them from your Audible Library first.

You can then use ITunes to play the Audible books. There are instructions on the website for doing this, as I cannot remember how to do it.

Hope this helps

In trying to learn the Mac and use it with my current programs I downloaded a book or at least I think I did, but I don't know where it went. I checked the download window and it showed up one time with a selection that said to see on finder click here. I did that and it took me to the finder but nothing showed up. Where did my audible book go?
