Hey there, there are so many options to itunes, it's crazy. Now, when it comes to burning a CD, do you use itunes to do that? For example, I have about 15 folders of stuff on my harddrive, each folder contains about 10 tracks. I wanna turn each one of those folders in to a CD. Now, here's the other issue, and perhaps I'm doing it wrong. I don't wnt itunes ripping in to my itunes folder. It's very much buried, and I'd much rather have it on the route of the main drive. I already created a folder. It's just a little confusing pointing itunes to it. Any ideas on how to do that?

So, this could work as follows: You insert the CD, and it automatically shows up in the Sources Outline of iTunes. Tab to the Songs Outline and start interacting (VO-keys+shift+down arrow). Review the tracks (you probably want to do this by arrowing down under the Song Name column), and use the contextual menu (VO-keys+shift+m) to select "Uncheck checkbox" for any songs you don't want imported. (Or, if you want to do it the other way around, select all with command-a, use the contextual menu to "Uncheck checkbox" for everything, and go through and check the songs you want). After you're through with your selection, move to the "Search Text Field" either with shift+tab (if you don't have the browser toggled on" or option+command+f (which should always work). VO-keys down arrow. You should here "Import CD". Just "click" however you do it -- VO-keys+shift+space bar, clicking with mouse, etc. You can also select individual tracks or groups of tracks in the Songs Outline and use the contextual menu to "Convert selection to ..." (whatever your default format is set to). The advantage of the checkbox method is that if you are only importing a few tracks now, and later decide to import other tracks from the same CD, iTunes will remember which boxes were checked when the CD was last in the drive and show you this when you go to the Songs Outline. In any case, remember to set up your iTunes importing preferences beforehand. (Command+comma then command+8 to go to the Advanced menu; choose the Importing Tab and set your options for format and bit rate). The default setting is AAC format 128 kbps -- or what iTunes calls "high quality" under the Setting pop up button. Oops, that reminds me that you should have the option "On CD insert" set to "Show CD" on the popup button of this field so your CD doesn't automatically start importing when you insert it.
