Hi Anne,
Yes, the same situation was going on for me as well. The difference being that I was only able to put 14 to 15 books on the card as opposed to my husbands many which caused me to run Disc Utilities where I found the problem. The card began giving me all kinds of issues, which, could have been due to the card or some upgrades. So, I thought that perhaps erasing the data and starting over would get rid of any corrupted files and free up disc space; however that did not happen. No matter what I seem to do the proper capacity will not display.

Perhaps I should try another reformat and not use the MS-Dos one, though the rest seem particular to the Mac environment.

It's amazing how a little, tiny card can make one person feel so entirely stupid...smile.

Take care, and thanks so much.

I have a 2 G. SD card which, when I put into my Mac and run Disc Utilities on, tells me I have only 960 MB available. I have erased and reformatted the card with MS-Dos formatting as is what I thought was needed in order to function properly in the Victor Stream. Well, it was functioning properly in the Victor Stream, but now things are an absolute mess.

Anyway, I can't seem to figure out how to not partition the card when it reformats, nor can I get the memory allocation to ever display itself as 2 G.

I'm not familiar with the Victor Stream, but I use SD Cards in my Milestone 311. I've never had to reformat an SD Card. I simply put the new SD Card into my Milestone and connect the Milestone to my Mac. It shows up on my Desktop as "No Name". I rename the card, open it and transfer whatever I want to the Card. The Mac and the Milestone both give me an accurate reading of the space used and the space available.

Sorry not to be of more help.

Cheers,

Anne
