What I was asking if pressing they key combo you mentioned will
change the document to plain tecxt for good unless I change it. So I
change the .doc file to pplain text and e-mail tit, will they get it
in plain text or .doc?

smaller than a .doc file, as there is no complex formatting or
fonts etc

Have you tried restarting VO? Also, if you press Command Shift T,
it will turn the .doc file into plain text, and vice versa back
to RTF.
