VaShaun, please take care not to write messages in all capital
letters. For those of us with low vision and others who read the
message visually it makes it very much harder to understand the message.
To rip and convert CDs you can use iTunes or lots of other programs.
To do it with iTunes, put the CD in and wait until iTunes has
recognised it and then fix any track names or other info you want
different. Then highlight the tracks that you want to import -
probably all of them eg command-a - and bring up the context menu
(not sure the VO way to do it, it's right click if you are using the
mouse) or the "Advanced" menu on the menu bar and select the menu
option that says "Convert selection AAC". If you have fiddled with
the advanced menu in the iTunes preferences the last word may be
different eg "Convert selection to MP3" or whatever encoder you
choose. That menu item automatically rips the tracks and puts them in
your iTunes library.
That's not the only way, but it's the most keyboard-friendly way I
can think of right now.
By the way, if you bring up the iTunes help with command-? and put
the word "rip" into the search box it will bring up several pages
which would have explained more or less what I just told you, only I
did notice that it does it in a visual oriented way more than this
explanation. Using the search in the help for each application
usually works pretty well, especially if you put just short snips in
the search box eg "rip" instead of "how do I rip my CD" or something
like that. Put the most important word in and try that.
Best wishes,
