There are several ways to approach this problem. Could you convice him to take PDF as well as .,doc files? LaTex will produce PDFs as I am sure you know.

There is a Latex2RTF converter http://www.inf.ethz.ch/personal/ fischerk/LaTeX2rtf/index.html

It is sometimes possible to change the interface labels of a program but I could not say for certain without having a copy of the program.

So I usually use latex for my papers, but now my history teachers are requiring me to submit my work online. Sounds great right, but it has to be in .doc format. No clue how to get latex to output .doc, and really no interest if it was not for this class. So I took a look at the new nisus writer express because I need footnotes in this paper and such things are not available in the free word processors that we have. In the default view, it will group the headers, footers, and footnotes into this thing called "scroll area". What my question is, what does the possibility look like for creating labeld frames for these different fields. So instead of saying edit text everytime you go over a field, it would say "frame footer, frame header, frame footnote, and main frame etc." That way it would utilize the fuctionality that vo already includes, or at least will include as some of you users of safari 3 might be aware.
