Even if a link is made from an image, suppressing that image display
should have no effect on the link being clickable.

I just tried looking at the BBC Radio4 Home page, first with the
images displayed and then with them not displayed, and the Link
Chooser menu gave me the same number of links in each case. I'm not
sure what this proves but I think some of the links on this page are
images.
