If you don't want to keep the files, then it's ok to delete both the files and the episodes. If you wanted to delete the podcast out of your library but keep it in your itunes folder in finder then you could. I always delete both the episode and the file when I'm done with an episode.

One other question and statement. I deleted the extra shows, but when I tried to ddelete the ones that said unplayed I got a dialog box asking me to delete the episodes or delete the files. What do I do just to have the folders because I have listened to the pod-cast that is showing as the latest one. It is because of my settings for downloading that it shows undownloaded. I erased your message without replying and I found it using spotlight, I say this because using the Mac even with having to learn new things is much better than the Windows platform.

Yeah, for some reason in itunes the context menus don't work unless you are interacted with the items.

I tried that without interacting with the pod-cast and no luck. I tried it with interaction and wa la. I am not use to having to interact with items in Windows. I figure if I can move up and down on a item then it works. Thanks for inlightening me.

Hi. You need to download it first. Press vo shift m and that will bring up a context menu. Choose download podcast episode from that menu.

Listers when I go to my pod-cast list in I Tunes I hear undownloaded pod-cast. How do I listen to this file if it isn't downloaded?
