OK, I know I'm coming in late here and I have missed posts on
this subject, but in trying out the spreadsheet, I can't seem to type
in the cells. Every time I do, VO loses focus, and I have to struggle
to get it back. Then, I find I didn't type in the right row or column
or simply added to the same area. Again, my apologies if someone has
explained this, as it's been a Long day.

You'll find a Scroll area. Interact with it and you're in the
table. Navigate using only the arrow keys and you'll find VO will
read the cell names (a1, a2, etc down the lefthand side and a1, b1,
etc. along the top).
Press Return each time you edit a field and you will find yourself
positioned on the cell below the one you have edited.
