I Tunes and missing folders

OK, so I imported the songs (for some reason the folder which  
contained the album name did not want to import, but the 208 songs  
from the 15 albums did. Where is the folder now, because it is no  
longer showing in the music folder under the music/I Tunes directory  
and why didn't the folder import? I thought I would get the  
opportunity to choose the album I wanted to play instead of a long  
list of songs. Also can I tag the songs that say track 01 and so on?  
I don't have the original CD's, so is their a program that will do  
this automatically?
