I am in the same boat as you Cheryl, i have heard too much not to try
it, and I think it will make me more productive with all-new
accessibility features etc. Also like you, my BrailleNote MPower is
not currently supported, but hopefully, the folks, at Apple and
Humanware will resolve to ad this as soon as possible.
Thank you for your thoughts Cheryl, and it's nice to hear from you
again.
Take care

I'm getting it; in fact, it's been pre-ordered..
I don't think it's as much a question of bugginess though those
most certainly do exist; I think the bigger concern is that some
third-party apps may not work with it at least for a while. But I
have two mac minis and there's no need to rush to upgrade them both
at the same time. One of them is primarily set up for my daughter
with developmental disabilities to listen to her music, so i'll use
that for backup and try upgrading mine. If all goes well with that,
after I've tested it out for a while, I can then upgrade the other
one. Both of these are ppc-chip mac minis; eventually I'd like to
have an Intel imac, but that is probably quite a way down the road
and of course when it finally comes it will have the newest OS
already installed.
My braillelite 40 and braillelite 18 will not be supported, which
comes as no supprise, and a new braille display isn't in the works
anytime in the forseeable future, so I'll have to stick with
braille in the terminal if brltty still works there; even if it
doesn't, I'm pretty sure Dave Mielke or somebody working with
brltty will be supportive about trying to fix it. Just the same,
I've heard too much about Leopard's new features and vo
improvements not to try Leopard.
