Yes it can be done. It depends on what you want to actually do file
sharing, internet sharing and so on. I have 6 Windows machine and 1
Mac on my home network and never ran into a problem in the years of
doing it.

Isn't Blutooth a bit slow for this? Better to use wireless
802.11G (which th Mac calls Airport).
