i have no hd space with my usic on this drive to put the privious
installation folder it is. i need to get the music off here onto
another drive to do it. then i want to have a totally separate drive
for time machine to use.

With TimeMachine, unless you plan to do some sort of removal of
music from your internal hard disk for all time, why bother with
two hard drives? TimeMachine will back up your music too. The best
part is that if you delete some by accident, go get it back with
TimeMachine.
