Well, I use Asterisk for this. Don't ask me how Vonage and Asterisk work together on the list. I'm happy to some day create a blind Asterisk user mailing list.

Subject: Conference details.

Hello,

The conference will start at 10:00 PM CST today October 29, 2007. Do not call the number provided after 11:00 PM CST. We will be locking the conference at that time. WHen this is over, that returns to my personal phone, so if you want to wake me up like a jerk at 3 AM be my guest, I get your caller ID. Just kidding, I barely sleep.

Please use the link below to find a local dialin number, or call direct to the number listed below.

http://vonage.com/features.php?feature=v_access

Please use the search located after the main content talking about how great this Vonage Access thing is. Also, use this thing to call any Vonage customer. In the UK, Germany, down under? Well, use this thing to not only call me, but US toll free numbers as well. Why should you have to pay for that if we don't.

Once you've selected a local dial in number, follow the prompts to enter my Vonage number. The information about the conference is below.

1. Dial 815-308-7607 or stick a 1 in front of that if calling from a land line phone.
2. When prompted for your conference PIN number, enter 1 2 3 4.
3. Wait and let it ask you to speak your name. Listen to the result and decide if you're happy. This plays when you enter the conference and when you leave to let us all know you've gone.

While waiting for the conference to begin you will be placed on hold. You'll hear some dance music provided by my streaming internet radio station iPartyRadio.com. At the time of the conference, I will enter, and all will be placed into the conference.

Note, I'm not responsible for your long distance bill. If you don't have a way to keep your bill down, don't call. If you've got the Vonage Access number in your local area, and you've confirmed its really local, enjoy. If you've got free nights and weekends on your cell or other phone plan, great.

Conference Controls - We all love control.

Press star to access the menu. You only hear an option to press 1 to mute or unmute yourself. Here are some other features.

4 and 6 - Change your mic level
7 and 9 - change the conference volume.

That's it.
