OK the sighted community is saying to press F8 when in Spaces and C to
change between the application space. Can you try this or give me the
run down on how to create spaces?

Command-Tab doesn't tab through a Space's applications, but rather
all applications running, which, unless you have only one app per
space, wrenders Spaces pretty moot, unfortunately.
