Yes, my views exactly. The level of support when surfing the net is
tremendously better using JAWS, but I have drunk the Mac Koolaid and
Apple can do no wrong. I too will be running Windows and Linux on my
Mac Book Pro. I don't know how much of this is not knowing my machine
and how much is Apple, but one thing I do know for a fact and that is
I sure do know what a accessible web page is and how quickly
navigation is supposed to be. I was so use to JAWS that I thought all
I needed was header navigation and visited links and all would be
well, but it really sucks. I ask how do people read just the articles
without the whole page being read and I haven't gotten a definitive
answer yet. Leopard is great as is the Mac as a whole, but my life is
on the net for research and since Tiger I have been out in the cold,
now that I have Leopard I am in a shelter. Sorry, just frustrated

I actually share your view on this in the sense of preferring JFW
(as much as I hate to say it lol!) A lot of what I do involves the
web, so my needs are pretty intensive, as my online portfolio is
something I need to have frequent and comprehensive access to. I
usually need to access a site quickly and the sites I need to view
are generally very complex, so unfortunately, at the moment, the
level of access, amount of keystrokes, and time it takes for me,
with Safari / VO, is not red hot in my opinion. <smile> Of
course, I'm just starting working with Leopard since the weekend, so
I AM hoping that this will change, however, I'm planning to also
install Win XP on my MacBook and use both...
I really dislike the idea of continuing to use Windows personally,
and I really quite prefer Tiger / Leopard in so many ways to the Win
environment, but for now, it's looking like both OS's might be the
way to go for me...
Have a great day!...

Cara :)

I guess it is what you are trained on or to each is own. I just
find it hard coming from the JAWS side. I started off using JAWS on
the internet and I only went to a handful of sites since they came
out with RSS feeds, so I will chalk it up to inexperiance and
continue to learn. Cheryl if you are listening, are you using
Windows or Linux on your Mac?

I actually mostly really like browsing the web with leopard and
tiger. I like the 2 d view we get, and I absolutely loath
browsing the web in windows and do it as infrequently as possible.

Hmm, I use Windows and linux too, but I don't find it a pain to
