Hi Penny,
I don't know if this will help but give it a try, find your document
by using vo to traverse the list. press command-i to get info,
interact with the scroll area using vo, find and press space on the
more info collapsed item to expand it, continue vo ing down to the
always open withitem and hit space to expand it, find text edit which
should reside in applications, once that is found, make sure that open
documents like this with this application is selected.
