since I can use braille without it, I have not.

Brltty appears to install in leopard but the version of screen
needed for brltty gives me errors for lack of sys/stropts.h. This is
kind of strange because I can't find stropts.h on my Tiger
installation either but the install works. I've searched with google
in various ways and haven't found a solution to this problem though
I've found other people missing stropts.h. I attempted using my
screen executable from my Tiger install, which I knew probably
wouldn't work; actually screen did apparently work but I still did
not get brltty to display successfully. If anybody else tries this,
please post your results so I'll know whether or not there is a real
problem or I have omitted something. So far I have two reasons to
keep Tiger on my firewire drive: firevox and brltty. Brltty is
definitely the bigger reason; it's my only braille access on the Mac
since the braillelite is not supported by Leopard; I do understand
the braillelite is old technology but it's way better than no
technology--*smile*!!! Of course I can also ssh in to terminal from
other machines that have brltty or a screen reader with braille
support, but I do like being able to use it directly on the Mac.
