Usint Two Keyboards for One Machine

Hello, I have a student that I will be working with, and I would like 
to know if it's possible to work with two keyboards on one machine?  I 
have an Apple keyboard with two USB ports, and if possible, I'll be 
using a mapped-out Windows keyboard for myself.  The only time I would 
use my keyboard is to navigate through areas not yet covered in his 
lessons.  Any sugggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Richie
