one thing I like about having the splitters at the top of the window
is that mail looks more like it does in outlook express. Hide the
toolbars and you have two things in the window, the messages list and
the folder list, really nice and clean. This is how it worked in
tiger and I reallly liked and am glad I have it back.

This was because of the horizontal splitter being repositioned. I
would also like to note that tab does the same thing. Thanks to
everyone who assisted with this problem. Please bare with me as I
master this thing. I was scared my machine was either broken or I
just wasn't getting it. Both would have been bad. Never the less I
miss having the read and unread status read to me, but I will try
this for a change and probably will switch back. Again thank you all
for putting up with me. I do want you to know that I have influenced
two Windows users to try Voice Over for a change, so we are getting
stronger.
