When and if you do, see if you can mail it to me and I will live in
your world of VO.

Hello,
Thanks for outlineing the VO Portible Prefs thing. I would imagine
that the file is rather small. Guess I'll just have to see.

OOPS, did I say JAWS? Well the reason I did is because one of the
great things that I admired about JAWS was the ability to take my
settings with me anywhere. We now have this feature in Leopard and
it is easy to setup and use. It is very easy to set up and transfer
settings. Here are the steps. Be sure you have configured VO the
way you like it before performing the following.
1. Open Voice Over Utilities (VO F8)
2. VO shift M to open the menu bar and right arrow to File or press F
3. Arrow down to Create portable preferences and press return
4. Choose your portable device from the devices table
5. Name the file and press return
What will happen when you plug in your removable media into another
Mac you will have the choice of using the settings you saved on the
external drive or the system settings. Also you can import these
settings for VO to use without having to setup voice over again. I
wonder if the file is small enough to attach in a e-mail? If so we
could test settings based on VO configurations. Hope this helps
