I dont think one can edit bit mapped files from preview. If pasted in
somewhere else i think they remain bit mapped until one does an OCR on
the bit mapped document. Vickie Weir

In Tiger, text in pdf files can be selected, copied, and pasted into
rtf files. I don't know if this is also possible in Leopard.

Hello. Is there any way in Leopard's version of Preview to convert
.pdf files to other formats such as .rtf? I thought there would be
a way in the print dialog to print to another file, but I couldn't
find anything. I'm asking because I saved a school assignment as a
.pdf, but I found out that I need to make some changes to it. If I
could convert it to an RTF file, I could edit it with Textedit.
Thanks.
