Hey All, just wanted to send along a quick update on deleting
locked files or folders once you can successfully move them to the
trash. For some reason, VO seems to have a bit of difficulty with a
couple of dialogues concerned with permissions / locking / unlocking
of files or folders when trying to delete them, but this time, for
whatever reason, as I was trying to empty my trash, VO did read the
dialogue I got, which was very cool!...
I thought I'd post it here for those who may not know this already.
Here is what it said.
(paraphrasing of course) lol!
The trash contains one or more locked items (and then it shows you
the first of these as well as giving you quit and continue buttons)
To remove all of the items in the trash anyway, hold down the option
key while clicking on empty trash.
So there you have it. lol! Go figure! This would have saved me a
whole lot of time / annoyance / aggravation, had I known this a couple
of weeks ago. lol!
Anyway, glad I know it now, that's for sure!...
So anyway, I did follow the instructs and it worked fine.
