I have both programs. Sound studio is great for really long files cause you 
can skim through them fast. Fission is great for quick and dirty edits with 
an automated fade at the beginning and end if you so choose. There's a new 
one out called Wiretap Studio, and another one now called Amadeus, but I 
can't varify the accessibility of either one. When I get some time, I'll 
check them out and report back. Hope this helps.
