I Tunes busy lately

Listers as the subject line states my I Tunes is busy allot lately. I  
have tried force quitting, restarting and disc utilities and nothing  
works. I can move down the pod-cast songs list and it just says  
application busy. Does anyone know what the problem is and steps on  
how to fix it?
