Jessie, Ryan, and Shaun,
I haven't used this, but I'll take a shot at answering this. The
problem
could be that the link to videos at some sites isn't a direct link to
the actual file that gets played, but instead redirects the browser
to another site to get the actual file. In that case, what you copy
into the program isn't the actual streaming file, but a pointer that
your browser can interpret, but that this program cannot, since
it's not a video program.
Only my guess, you understand. Someone who went and viewed
the source code for the web pages of the problem videos might
be able to tell what was happening. Net result is that this program
might work for some videos but not others, and there's no easy
way to tell in advance which ones would work.
Cheers,
Esther

I am not sure it works fine for me. I am not a U Tube fan but it
worked for me just fine.

Listers I found this resource for anyone using U Tube and want to
get a file that can go on your hard drive either in Mac movie form
or just the audio. It is simple, easy and totally accessible. The
link is http://vixy.net/. Just type in the U Tube URL you want to
transcode, choose the option for the desired platform or output
type and your location for the download and you're off to the
races. Let me know what you guys think.
