Hey Darcy, thanks for the welcome back and the suggestion. ACK! a
correction on my earlier post; I actually meant to say check the box
for VO cursor follows mouse cursor, however, upon further
experimentation I've found that actually routing the VO cursor to the
mouse cursor manually has had continued success instead...
anyway, hope others will give feedback on this as well...
Have an awesome night All, and have an awesome weekend!...
Smiles,
Cara :)

Hey Cara. Welcome back. When I'm flying with the Mac Book, and I'm
through using it, I just close the lid and let it go to sleep.
Shutting it down is tricky because if you close it up and it's not
quite shut down, it will stay on. But I've never had trouble just
putting it to sleep by closing the lid.

Hey All, hope yer' all doing wonderfully in this most lovely

Well, I'm back from the great beyond, and my lil MacBook performed
splendidly!!! woohoo!!!...
I thank you all so very much for all your help getting set up with
it before I left! You all rock!... :)
I have firstly a wonderful surprise I just found regarding in-page
links with VO and then a question...
I was just viewing a development site for the Audio Quake project
I'm involved in, which had a page link which skipped navigation.
I've figured out that when one clicks on the link, the mouse cursor
is taken to the correct location, so if I check the box in the VO
prefs which says mouse cursor follows VO cursor, then I'll actually
be taken to the proper place in the page, and then can go on from
there. I haven't had luck routing the VO cursor to the mouse
cursor, but will keep trying that out. Oh, I also kept the cursor
tracking on...
Just thought you all might like to know this... <smile> :)
so, secondly, during my trip back home to LA, I was using my MB on
the flight, and I discovered that the cute lil thing is so darn
quiet that I had trouble telling when it was off!... lol!... I
usually listen to the HD to see when it shuts off, but on a plane,
that's not always as easy. :) -especially with this one, being as
silent as it is, (the MacBook, not the plane lol!) which is
awesome btw!!!
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone else has any tips or tricks for
this?... Also, are there any ways to have it make a sound or
such?...
Actually, being on the subject of sounds, is there a way to turn
off the Mac startup sound?... I actually prefer this but can't
find a way to do it. As well, if I plug headphones into the jack,
the startup sound still plays from the external sspeaks...
Anyway, happy to be back home and have regular access to ya'll and
I wish y'all an awesome holiday!!!...
Smiles,
Cara :)
