Actually, I don't see any check boxes, just an edit field. I'm
supposed to enter in characters in the right order for either
username
alias
message
time
And it will speak the text in that order. Problem is that i can't
figure out the correct format.

where you assign an event to speak, depending on the event, there's
a series of checkboxes that indicate which items are to be spoken.
The message received event has boxes for name, time, message, etc.
