hi karen
I feel guilty as it was me who started this but stuff it. its all well and
good having an app that the sighted community can use perfectly. you
yourself say that you are using outspoken with pro tools on mac OS9. but
what for
us guys who want it even with the older set up. there are no copies of
outspoken available anymore and as we are aware of it we're bloomin sick and
tired of it. I am sorting out a G3 base unit and modding it for pro tools
usage
with a hopeful copy of outspoken from a friend. then maybe lets see what can
happen on my side. I work mainly as a composer and musician who produces
audio for adverts for businesses, also sound design for synthesizers and the
likes of. not just that but am working on a studio album of my own but none of
this is done on a PC so lets put it this way I dont want to see windows again.
I use a custom designed yamaha 64 channel digi console with such elegance
and control I love her to bits and wouldn't want to let her go. that in line
with digital recording racks and all the kit I need.
but as I am now investing in my mac the new woman of my life so to speak I
want to have her by my side as my audio system. a friend to help with
production and mastering. so when logic becomes part of my box then I'll be a
happy
baby lol
I dont think at present we will ever see pro tools accessible. bearing in
mind the international human rights, accessibility laws, product policies and
other laws that we can use to our favour I agree with shaun that we should
take legal action against DigiDesighn. they have to respect our needs and
have
to comply. NO CHOICE! they WILL comply
sorry to all about this but my heart remains truly strong at the point of
fighting for what I believe and what we all need. so can you blame me for
caring about you all and wanting to see a change. democracy goes so far.
after
that we get the grouch from sesamy street and let him breed and his family can
move into every trash can at digidesign and cause hell
sorry but that's my line and I dont mean to offend anyone but when you've
seen it from the UK perspective where thousands of students in british
education are discriminated against, turned away from graduate courses in
professional music and audio then it really hurts
god bless all
lewy
