Hi Tim and Darsy.
I really love playing ps2 too. I also play psp as well, and I'm totally
blind. If you need more information, you can contact me by mail or MSN.

Orin, this is Tim in Alabama. I would like to talk with you about the
whole
gaming console thing and how us blind people go about playing. I'm
interested. Drop me an email since I don't have your private mail, and
maybe
you can give me some pointers. I'd appreciate that very much. Take care
and
talk to you soon. Tim Emmons

well, Darcy, how us blind folk play console games is way beyond the scope
of
this list. You can email me privately about it, or you can also go to
Brandon Coles website and look at some reviews of blind people playing
console games. It could be found at http://www.brandoncole.net
under gaming.
Enjoy.

Darcy, holly, thanks so much for your feature on main menu it was
really informative. I feel so much more confident for when I
decide to purchase audiohijack. it's reassuring to hear someone
else use a Mac and get the desired result. thanks again

Darcy, thanks very much for the explanation, and for what it's
worth, listening over the ACB Radio stream, you sounded fine in my
corner of the universe! <smile>
Great show both of you, btw, and look forward to more when ya can!...
Smiles,
Cara :)

Hi Orin. Sorry you didn't get in to main menu last night.
Hopefully in the future we'll do more question only episodes,
because I think a lot of people have questions.
As for recording both the mic and VO, you need to use multiple
sessions of audio hijack pro at the same time. The first thing
you need to do is install sound flower. This comes with audio
hijack pro, and you can install it from there. You then create a
session which hijacks system audio. This will be your recording
session, so you can set the recording options here. Then create
another session for your mic. Set the mic as input and 2 channel
sound flower as output. If you want your line in as well, do
another session, with your line in as input, and the 2 channel
sound flower as output. Hijack the system audio session, then
hijack the other two sessions. You'll know if it's working if
you here the audio from both devices.
When we did our demo, we went one step further. Holly set up all
those sessions on her mac, then we ran a line from her mac to
mine. This made it possible for me to show things like launching
audio hijack pro.
The drawback here was that what I was hearing wasn't apparently
what was being recorded, at least in terms of the levels. That's
why the levels were a total mess in that presentation. This was
unfortunately beyond my limited abilities to fix. I think more
testing will be in order next time.
On another note, Orin, how are you playing ps2 games? I'm
assuming you have some vision, or are there any games that can be
played with sound only?

Hi all,
Since last night I tried to call into Main Menu and wasn't able
to get through, this was the question I was gonna ask. Darcy,
how did you guys end up recording your VoiceOver as well as your
mic?
What I want to be able to do is record my line in source as well
as my mick source as to record reviews for when I play the PS2
and than put them online at an already list of growing games at
http://www.brandoncole.net
Hmm. My only problem remains is would I be able to hear my PS2
as it's being recorded?
I'm also thinking of buying AJP and Sound Studio and then do a
nice review of Adium for BCT and Main Menu; nice little program.
