The new version of adium is on adiumx.com, that's the homepage for it.
As for the message area, no we can't read that. We can, however, have
adium automatically speak incoming messages and if we do miss
something we can look back at the transcripts. Hopefully they're
working on the message area, since it's really just an html control
stuck inside a scroll area, it's that darn scroll area that VO can't
get inside. I'm growing to hate the words "scroll area," lol.
