Hi Jed.

I found that when I first got my iMac, it had Tiger on it and it was indeed f-11 and f-12 which was used to change the volume. With Leopard, however, I now use the "fn key" plus f-11 and f-12 to do this. I am using a bluetooth keyboard, though. I'm not sure what to advise if you are using a standard keyboard.
