Hi,

Also check whether you have skype set to run automatically when your computer starts. If you do, then uncheck that box, restart the computer, try remove command from preferences of skype's icon in the dock and then try removing it from the trash. If this doesn't work, then I'm not sure.

Hmmm, tried removing it from the doc, and it still won't go. It still says that the dmg file is in use.

Make sure that you also remove the icon of your application from the Dock if you put there in the first place. I had an issue like that and couldn't remove my application because its icon was in the Dock.

Hmmm, weird, I tried to do that one time, nad it said that the disc immage could not be removed, becuase it was in use. Why that was, I'm not sure, becuase the application that it was for, wasn't even running.

Yes you can do exactly that.

Hey thanks for hte help Richy. If I'd downloaded a disc immage for a program, and I didn't want the disc immage, could I actually put it in the trash, and empty the trash? Or will MacOS not let me do that with a disc immage.

If you still have the disk image of the program, you can copy the program from the disk image and put it in its original location. I haven't had to do that yet in Leopard, but I did with Skype, when I had Tiger. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.

Hey all, if I accidentally send a file to the trash, be it an application, or anything at all, how can I restore it to its original location?
