Dear.  Mr. Hubbell;

I am saddened to learn of the lack of accessibility in Microsoft
Office 08 for Macintosh. More so by the fact that this product is a
critical productivity application and that it was delayed so that the
code could be moved to Apple's XCode development system. A development
system which provides for complete accessibility features for the
blind and print  disabled.

Given that Apple has provided a screen reader in the latest versions
of the OS this omission of accessibility support in Office is all the
more shocking.

While Microsoft has, in the past, issued public statements assuring
consumers of it's support for accessibility in its products this
action of omitting support in a new and completely rewritten
application set would seem to indicate that Microsoft's commitment to
accessibility takes the form of words only and not actions.

I await some expiation as to why it was decided that Office 08 for
Macintosh should not support the well documented and integrated
accessibility features of the Macintosh platform and what steps
Microsoft plan to take to correct this serious omission.
