Anyone here have any idea why repairing permissions doesn't seem to get past
20% here? I've left it doing it things for hours, but it just gets to 20%
and no joy after that. Not experiencing any dodgy disk activity as yet so
i'm hoping its not a hardware fault.

will do a lot of cleaning. When you do a system update, run repair
permissions, when you install and uninstall products or delete a lot of
files, run repair as well.

disc permissions and such?
