I'd bet the dollar in my pocket that when you click the audio link that its playing the audio in Quicktime. That means its playing it in the browser so it leaves the page you were on and takes you to another with the controlls in the window for Quicktime.

I'm almost sure the link you are clicking links to an MP3 file that contains the code.

I'd try right clicking on the link and seeing if you get the choice of opening it with a different player or else opening it in a new window.

Let us know if that helps and, I'm sorry you are frustraited with your Mac. It really is a great machine to work with!

I love my Mac, but it really does seem that as soon as I fix one
problem, I have another one. I was just on Craigslist trying to make
a post. When it came time to enter the captia, I clicked on the
listen button. It played perfectly but then I couldn't get back to
the regular site to hit submit. It kept me in the window with the
audio. Is there a way to change this? When I went into the Safari
preferences I couldn't find anything about opening audio content in
another window or in a player, but I thought I saw it somewhere.
Anyway, can anyone give me advice? Maybe it's in the actual player
that my Macbook is using?

Thanks,
