The same would be that if you had two chords, one goes from the mac to the 
wall and the other goes from the mac to the wall.  we actually only have one 
that can go from the mac to the wall.  the other goes from the brick to the 
wall.

If both have to be plugged into the brick and both plug into a power
outlet, then how are they not one in the same? As I pointed out one is
a extension and the other isn't.
