Yes, you can do this.
1. Open Disk Utility.
2. Choose the Windows partition on the internal drive.
3. From the File menu, select the New submenu and then "Disk Image
from xxx.
4. Pick a place to store your new disk image.
Now, if you need to restore the image, you will erase the partition
and use the restore function of Disk Utility.
If you have any trouble doing this, you can ask for assistance
learning Disk Utility at your local Apple Store. Apple offers a
service called One 2 One that provides you personal training on any
topic you wish. They also may have helpful tips that may be an
alternative to my method.

Hey All, hope yer' all having a lovely evening!… <smile>
I've just installed XP SP 2 on a BootCamp partition with fat 32 and
am wondering if I can simply copy the entire partition to an
external hd so if I need to restore, I can simply create another BC
partition and copy everything back over?…
In other words, since I can see my Windows partition on my desktop
in Leopard, and view its contents; if I saved it in its current
state, would it work to copy the contents back to a newly created
BootCamp partition if I needed to, in future, so I could simply
avoid the hassle of reinstalling Windows and such?…
I sure hope this is making sense! lol!
Anyway, any thoughts anyone has on this would be greatly
appreciated. thanks so much and have an awesome evening!…

Cara :)
